Awards Criteria

What are we looking for in the 2018 Central Banking Awards Winners?

  • The Award categories are divided into two groups: central banks and market practitioners. Entering is not restricted: a market practitioner may enter a central bank for a central bank award and vice versa.
  • Entries should describe why the entity/person should win an award for activities during the period September 2016 to September 2017 (with the exception of the lifetime achievement award).
  • For central bank awards, entries can describe activities, policies and initiatives that have improved the effectiveness of the institution and furthered its public policy goals.
  • Entries for market practitioner categories can describe case studies, deals and innovations completed. For example, successful entries have outlined a client's goal and described how this was achieved, the benefits it offered the official institution client and the next steps.
  • Please see the individual awards criteria and review the articles on previous winners for further and specific guidance.
  • We may ask for client references for market practitioner awards for shortlisted awards. This is an important part of the judging process, providing confirmation and feedback.
  • All information we receive will be treated in the strictest confidence, and we are happy to sign confidentiality agreements.
